Experian QAS DataFusion combines GNAF and PAF to enable enhanced business workflows in Government Sector.
Sydney, Australia – 26 August 2009 – Experian QAS, a world-leading supplier of contact data management, today announced the official launch of Experian QAS DataFusion, Australia’s first database to include both the Geo-coded National Address File (G-NAF) and Postal Address File (PAF). The combination of datasets offers Australian businesses and government the largest, most comprehensive address database to support informed decision making across organisations.
QAS DataFusion is a new module for Experian QAS that is fully integrated with its other address data management software to capture, validate and manage customer contact details.
QAS DataFusion can be used in many stages of customer management, from initially checking that address information provided is correct to ensuring postal communications are delivered to the right address and goods and services are dispatched where required.
QAS DataFusion presents the government sector with a unique opportunity to decrease fraudulent information and data breaches. By verifying and validating against the most comprehensive dataset in Australia, QAS DataFusion can decrease the risk of incorrect and fraudulent data entering government systems.
The use of QAS DataFusion can also help government to deliver more accurate regulatory reporting and assist in the allocation of funding with information on population density becoming more accessible. For instance, local councils can use QAS DataFusion to collate information to manage disputes over zoning and boundary related issues.
The ability of QAS DataFusion to deliver better customer insight, through the real time appending of additional socio-demographic and spatial intelligence information to an address, means service agents can position more relevant additional product offerings or confidently point customers to their nearest service centre.
Matthew Glasner, General Manager of Experian QAS said, “We have developed this product for those organisations that require the best address management software. Compared to any other product on the market, QAS DataFusion has 20 per cent more addresses stored. It relies on the renowned quality of both G-NAF and PAF to deliver an enhanced database to businesses to support elements as diverse as customer service, fraud protection or risk modelling.”
This service is very important to the Australian market, where many individuals and businesses may have different physical and postal addresses, for example through a PO Box in remote areas. Another key challenge that QAS DataFusion can overcome is the ability to match geographic location with address data that is as detailed as the level of the building that a company or individual is resident in.
Glasner continued, “This product brings Australia up to par with other countries around the world that employ progressive customer data management packages. Particularly in today’s economy, it is imperative that data is exploited to its full potential, across the entire organisation.”
