Salesforce.com application 'suited to marketing beginners'
Jan 12 2011, 14:45 PM
A Salesforce.com application has been recommended to businesses that are just getting started with their advertising efforts.
Lauren Carlson, a customer relationship management (CRM) market analyst writing for the Software Advice blog, explained that Salesforce.com's marketing application comes with the company's Sales Cloud 2 product.
She said the piece of free technology can act as a "great starter system for many companies".
"Specifically, it is a good solution for basic lead and campaign management," the commentator stated.
Ms Carlson added that its simplicity makes it suitable for businesses with fewer than 2,500 prospects to chase up, as well as those looking for a segmented database which tracks what campaigns have had an effect on specific consumers.
According to Salesforce.com itself, the Sales Cloud 2 product offers considerable help for businesses running advertising campaigns.
It said the details it provides users with can help show the impact of marketing activity on an organisation's bottom line.
