Direct marketing plan 'can boost sales'
Oct 15 2010, 16:08 PM
Users of direct marketing solutions should come up with a well-thought out strategy to make the most of their advertising efforts.
This is the view of Michelle Jones, marketing director at Avaya, who explained that an effective marketing plan should cover areas such as business objectives and defining results, as well as introducing a specific timeline.
She told Fresh Business Thinking that this can help users of direct marketing solutions to improve their conversion rates.
"By focusing your marketing efforts in the most important areas according to your business goals you can drive a healthy pipeline of leads and ultimately sales," said Ms Jones.
According to a recent report from analyst Paul Chapman, the direct marketing industry is going to grow in strength over the next five years.
In his study, published on the Companiesandmarkets websites, the expert forecast that the sector will be worth US$25 billion (A$25.1 billion) by 2015.
