Direct marketing industry 'to grow across the world'
Oct 14 2010, 15:13 PM
Address verification software is likely to be required by the businesses helping to drive the direct marketing industry's growth in the next few years.
According to a report by analyst Paul Chapman, the direct mail industry is on course to recover from the global economic downturn.
In a study published on the Companiesandmarkets website, the expert went on to predict that the sector will be worth US$25 billion (A$25.1 billion) by 2015.
He predicted that this will be driven by a rise in targeted advertising campaigns, as well as more multi-channel promotions.
"Innovation is also driving the market, along with innovative promotional content, new designs in mailing concepts and hard to avoid product and service offers," Mr Chapman stated.
Earlier this month, brand consultant and Marketing Week columnist Mark Ritson told users of address verification tools that it is important to target marketing campaigns at the consumers most likely to be interested in the goods or services that are on offer.
