Brisbane firm promotes software as a service
Feb 23 2009, 22:51 PM
A Brisbane-based small business owner has espoused the virtues of software as a service, after installing a version of the hosted application across her franchises.
Speaking to Australian IT, Kelly Baker, managing director of Edible Blooms, disclosed that since installing NetSuite's flagship product, which includes customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning software, her financial analysis has improved.
Ms Baker's employees can now access "real-time data performance indicators", which has improved productivity and customer service levels.
She told the technology website: "I feel confident that because we have invested in a new system we can grow our revenue four-fold over the next few years without having to spend a lot more on our infrastructure."
Last week, the technology analyst Gartner Research forecasted that over half of Australian companies will implement social computing into their customer relationship management software by 2010.
